Videographer bio for James Matt Hi there, inspired by no longer wanting to work for the man I formed Bubblegum Youth Studio in 2009. Experimenting with stop-action, slid-motion, voice-over and editing I bring short, funny stores to life in miniature. No one creates videos the way we do at Bubblegum Youth Studio. I have an understanding of how to mix movement with editing to create motion and I know the importance of what audio can contribute to a video. We take what looks like nothing more than a handful of clothespins, pipe cleaner and cardboard and turn it into a video. We like to say BYS happens when adults create and play with dolls. We’re not CGI, we’re CPR…Clothes Pin Reality. But that’s not all. While I have worked mostly in miniature I have a great deal of experience with all types of camera operations including using green screen and CGI. No matter the size of the subject or location I can bring a very talented and unique eye to your project. I shoot on Panasonic and Sony cameras in a studio and on location and am very familiar with using both natural and artificial lighting. I have over seven years of experience producing videos for Bubblegum Youth Studio and am very familiar with non-linear editing on Avid software. Need more? For several years I worked as a freelance Cinematographer for video projects in Portland Oregon and am IMDB credited. In addition I worked as an engineer in television broadcasting for almost 20 years so I know the technical side of the business as well. I know how to safely do set up, tear down, lighting and rigging, and how to operate stationary and hand held cameras. But wait, do you need someone to come up with a great idea, story or pitch a product? I am also a talented writer and a published author. I have a novel currently available on Amazon and in addition to numerous short stories, I have written all ten episodes for the comedy web series OFF AIR at Bubblegum Youth Studio.
