My name is Preston Maestri, and I'm a Los Angeles based Cinematographer with years of experience working in commercial, narrative, event, and creative production. I have a wealth of experience in technical, organizational, design and creative sides of digital video content. My ability to see a production through from start to finish with professionalism, creativity, and competence would make me a valuable member of the your team. Working as a freelance Director of Photography has taught me to appreciate beauty and strive to capture and enhance the essence of a subject through lighting and camera operation. I've shot narratives, fashion commercials and music videos, which all require a delicate but precise touch throughout the process of bringing out the best of the subject matter. I also have acquired leadership and delegation skills that make me fit to efficiently and effectively run and operate a set. In addition to working as a cinematographer on my own, I started my career as a camera technician at a rental house. This gave me the knowledge and skills to use the best video production gear out there. Not only do I have a great understanding of the tools of my own trade, but I have a great deal of knowledge about sound, editing, color, and grip and electric equipment, which make me able to advise a production from just about any angle.
