Hi I am Sompong Viengvilai, Im looking for an Asian female actor 35 of age to play the role of a Mother, doesn't have to be South East Asian, just have to look the role, in a drama, social justice film. The film is about a Southeast Asian youth who practices Muaythai boxing. He's also a student whose applying to attend college to help his mother out of the projects. His mother is an alcholic who forever grieves over the lost of her husband who died in the communist war, the boys father. In the film I'm trying to promote justice by revealing the struggle of being a refugee in South East Asia. Letting the world know that not all asians are doing well in America, there are South East Asians whose still suffering from stress and trauma. This film will be featured in The Elfinworks Social Justice Campus Movie Film Festival, Great on resume, for those who wants to aspire in acting. I need this actor for two days and location, March 27th, 2015, and a date around april, soon to be announced. The actor will be needed for 3-5 hrs a day, depending on the shoot, might go less than 3hrs. Since I am a low budget college student at SFSU, majoring in Cinema, I will have to pay 25$ a day. If the film is chosen 1st place, Viengthevid production will add 300$ towards the actor. If you are interested, and have an example, portfolio of you being on screen acting, let me know.
