My name is Kavin Alexander and I am reaching out to express interest in the Production Assistant role at your company. With over five years of experience in the videography and filmmaking industry, I hope you consider my application for the position. In my previous roles, I was responsible for a number of tasks including but not limited to creating storyboards and shot lists, producing short-form content for social media, editing visual elements in post production, and directing film crews on set. Through my role as my director of photography and editor for Off The Couch Live, I significantly improved video quality and overall social media presence for the platform. In my roles working with Bionic Brooks(@bionicbrooks) I’ve helped upgrade the quality of his content while also helping him grow his YouTube following to 13k subscribers . My degree in creative media production provided me with the opportunity to take a wide variety of courses including writing for creative media, audio/video production, and multimedia storytelling. Since graduating college I’ve further honed my skills through working on sets as a production assistant, grips and in the lighting department for shoots with the American Film Institute. I have working with Grammy award winning producer Hit-boy and his father Big Hit on multiple projects and I’ve created social media content for brands like C4, Hypnotic , Bionic brand and more. i’ve also filmed commercials for local businesses in the community.
