Videographer in Salt Lake City, Utah

I'm an
Individual
After graduating from the University of Utah in 2009 with degrees in Sociology and International Studies, and with no job prospects, I traveled to Vietnam with a point and shoot camera and a desire to create unforgettable travel imagery. I thought I would come back, find a "real job" and get the idea of traveling for a living out of my system. I was wrong. Photography and storytelling had become my life and the world was my classroom. After several years of honing my skills and working odd jobs to pay the bills, I finally felt confident enough to go full-time as a freelance photographer and videographer in 2013. It has been a rough road full of ups and downs, but every experience has been a learning opportunity. Some of my favorite works have included being the lead cinematographer and assistant editor for a full-feature documentary about sex trafficking in India called Stolen Innocence (yet to be released), directing an award-winning short documentary about a runner in the mountains called Holy, and helping create a documentary about the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. I have been able to work with some extraordinary people on unforgettable projects and I couldn't be more grateful to do what I love.
