Strong media and communication professional with a M.A. in Mass Communication focused in Journalism from UNC School of Media and Journalism. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are three things I care about: helping people, shedding light on people’s stories, and using technology to connect people throughout the world. I have been part of projects that allowed me to accomplish this. I produced the videos for #StandUp2OA, a campaign that focuses on preventing the onset and progression of Osteoarthritis. I was also fortunate to be part of the motion graphics team that produced the Dorothy Vaughan animation for the Morehead Planetarium’s “Hidden Stories” animated series, which won first place in the MSUSND 2018 (Society for News Design at Michigan State University) College Design Contest. Through broadcast pieces, and as a Stembler Scholar, I’ve had the opportunity to bring attention to relevant issues, such as the opioid crisis, the phenomenon of missing generation households, art events sponsored by UNC, and movements that highlight the importance of women in society. Last December, I had the amazing opportunity to work alongside Adobe for their World Wide Sales Conference in Las Vegas. With faculty supervisors and 5 other students, we covered the 3-day event and created the videos used in Adobe’s internal communications. The experience was as demanding as it was rewarding. In a way, it allowed to give something back to the company who created the amazing software I’ve used for the past 10 years. I enjoy coupling communication tools at our disposal with organizations and causes worthy of attention. Every production I invest myself in helps me hone my skills in this regard. My attention to details, encouraging disposition, and ability to perform well under pressure guarantees success in every single project. I'm looking to be part of endeavors that look to share people's stories and help the world somehow. If the videos I'm involved in make one viewer's day significantly better, it's worth it.
