Phone Home Entertainment is owned and operated by Everett Torpey, a 25 year old independent videographer based in Nashville, TN ​ Everett is originally from Massachusetts where he honed his skills as a classically trained musician studying both upright bass, and classical voice. He naturally transitioned into playing other genres of music including indie and alternative rock, and was the frontman of various bands throughout high school. ​ Everett decided to pursue music at a collegiate level, and studied Music Business and Entertainment Industries at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in 2014. While in college, Everett learned the ins and outs of the entertainment industry from collaborating with music and film students, working as the Underwriting Director of WVUM 90.5 FM, and as a Music Programming Intern with SiriusXM Nashville. ​ Since then, Everett has worked as a PA on music video sets, a stage builder for top Nashville concerts, a resident DJ, a studio session cartage worker, and a Media Buyer at a boutique advertising agency. ​ With an undying desire to express his true creativity, Everett transitioned into filming and editing, and was lucky enough to land his first major gig with Sony Music Nashville producing a video for the 2017 Key West Songwriters Festival. After receiving praise and attention from members of the Sony team, he was contracted to produce more Sony projects which solidified his decision to make videography his full time job. ​ Everett has an incredible eye for capturing the magic moments that happen during shoots, and carefully selects his cameras, lenses, and accessories in order to capture the best footage possible. He is skilled editing in both Final Cut Pro X, and Adobe Premiere, and uses his well trained ear to synch footage with the perfect music. Everett is eager to take on new projects to expand his career and help make peoples ideas come to life in video!
