Katrin York is a starting filmmaker, born in 1994 in Ural Mountains, Russia. At the age of 16 came to St. Petersburg to study film and theater, in 2013 enrolled in New York Film Academy and moved to Hollywood. After release of a short film about her solo adventure in Alaska, Katrin was noticed by Russian Geographical Society and later won ‘Hero of the Arctic’ social media contest that lead to affiliation with Kara Zima 2015 Arctic Expedition as a videographer. Soon after, her photograph was placed on the cover of Red Fox Magazine. In 2016 Katrin made a short film in support of Arctic and Antarctic Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia and worked on other projects in different parts of the globe. In January 2017 she graduated from New York Film Academy (Bachelor of Arts) in Los Angeles, CA to pursue career in filmmaking.
