Hi, Video production is what brings joy to my life! A little about me: My career began as a video production graduate assistant at Central Michigan University. While working for CMU, I successfully produced and directed over 20 half-hour episodes of the MHTV-broadcasted "Central View,” multiple award-winning short films, a dozen freelance weddings, and a handful of corporate bios. My last achievement while there was a feature-length film that played to paying audiences in three theaters across the state while raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Since obtaining a Master's of Arts degree for Broadcast and Cinematic Arts from CMU, I have worked at the University of Illinois as a video production and post-production specialist. While at UIUC, I was the lead editor and producer of multiple online Coursera courses. All the while, I oversaw finishing color grades, keying, and audio quality control on multiple courses before they go live to students. In December this past year, I accepted a job offer to work for Ziebart International Corporation in Troy, MI as the Video Production Manager. Here, I serve as manager, director, and editor of all Ziebart in-house productions and public marketing videos. My main area of expertise is in lighting, directing talent, and audio/video post-production. The visually and emotionally engaging experience that audiences receive from my work is ultimately why I love working in video production. It is a medium that can be used to raise awareness, challenge perspective, and present new ideas to the world.
