I'm an
Individual
Six years, I have attended at the Art Institute of Salt Lake City, in my senior quarter of film studies. I have pursue a Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production with large interested in directing, producing, editing and photography skills in the film industry. Recently, I have designed thirty-four promotional film posters by using my own expertise that I have gained inside the classroom. I have an internship opportunity with Salt Lake City Film Society that they are located inside Salt Lake City, Utah, as a producer, key gripper, production crew and gaffer. As for my future goals in the film industry, I would like to pursue a position as a paid filmmaker, cinematographer, editor, sound mixer, writer and music director.  In addition, I have volunteer as team leadership roles on several a unpaid film production.   As a female volunteer, I have given back to my local Navajo community as an unpaid photographer, production crew, graphic arts and web designer. I have volunteered with the local American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, Miller Estates Community, Sundance Film Festival, Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, and Utah Pride Center that are located inside Salt Lake County with my ten hours’ service during each quarter at the Art Institute of Salt Lake City through my film skills.   I have graduated in March 2017 with the opportunity to fulfill my dreams as a music director, producer, technical manager, production crew, photographer and filmmaker.  A scholarship of this magnitude will help me continue my Bachelor of Science degree in the film studies that will help me cover a number of out of pocket expenses which I’ve be accumulating by this education.  Filming a short or a feature film as a senior project, I had to pay for models, actors, and rental equipment as well. I have to cover for other unpaid expenses from my own pocket that cannot be taxable for any college student who put forth countless hours as an editor, writer, director, production crew and photographer that only on an unpaid expense educational cost.    Overcoming the financial difficulties will help me concentrate on my film studies, my class assignments and volunteer projects as well that the financial support needed to succeed inside the classroom.  After graduation, I do plan to give back to the local community as an unpaid director, producer, gaffer, production crew, photographer, and filmmaker that will capture the lives of the Navajo people.  Regards, Valerie Hosteenez (385) 22...
