The bulk of my work experience is in the video communications, media marketing and social media arena and has given me a broadly applicable set of practical and interpersonal skills in both client and project management. Having Graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Television Production, I developed my passion for Filmmaking, in particular in relation to the arts education and theatre. I gradually built up my skill set to take on complex and advanced freelance projects, before moving into the Arts and Heritage sector at the Science Museum in London. The media content I produced has frequently involved marketing outlets and social media platforms, one of my clients being a large multinational bio science company (Thermo Fisher) producing from start to finish bespoke packages as part of their product releases. Working in media has meant I’ve had to be aware of branding guidelines across a variety of organisations. I’ve also worked with both internal and external communication teams and I have helped develop strong links with the digital media, marketing and PR departments. Media communications has meant I’ve had to interpret complex briefs and develop an idea into a coherent solid narrative that focusses on the target demographic and with highest production values. This work experience means I’m equally adept at working independently as well as larger teams, either with those internal or outside of organisations. At Royal Botanic Gardens Kew I was responsible for every stage of the creative process, from ideas generation, briefing, lighting, sound, filming, editing, post production and content delivery. I am a friendly and outgoing person who thrives on working with people. I have a positive attitude towards work and I am a natural problem solver. I am able to communicate my views and opinions with diplomacy and confidence, but also take on-board constructive criticism from my colleagues. This enables me to fit into any working hierarchy comfortably, whilst creating a positive working environment for those around me. Throughout my career I have gained first class communication skills in order to give the clients I am working with the best possible service. This has been an invaluable asset used to ensure that media briefs and client requirements are clearly defined to create the best possible results. In my previous roles I have dealt with large workloads and juggled many assignments simultaneously, which has demanded excellent time management and organisational skills. With my comprehensive experience I understand what individual jobs will entail with regards to time and resources and I can effectively prioritise and manage the workflow in a coherent and ordered manner.
